On Sunday, 14 January 2024, in the morning at 9:50, in Tauragės district municipality, Sakalinės village, on the Tauragė–Pašventys national road (kilometre 13.46), an Iveco 35-8 registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Iveco (24 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered.
