On Friday, 19 January 2024, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Marijampolės municipality, on Kęstučio street near No. 1, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C4 Picasso and a Skoda Superb. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Citroen (46 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
