On Sunday, 21 January 2024, in the evening at 18:20, in Šiaulių district municipality, Steponiškės village, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 31), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Seat Ibiza and an Audi A5. Three people were injured — the 22-year-old driver of the Seat (hospitalized), the 53-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized) and a 51-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized).
