Hit-and-run Opel driver runs off the road at Jaunystės g. and Rūko g., Klaipėda

On Monday, 15 January 2024, in the afternoon at 15:50, in Klaipėda, on Jaunystės street, at the junction with Rūko street, an Opel Meriva ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Opel (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
