On Wednesday, 24 January 2024, in the evening at around 18:00, in Vilnius, on Bitėnų street near No. 1C, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt and an Opel Signum. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
