On Sunday, 4 February 2024, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Zarasų district municipality, Dusetų settlement, on Vytauto g. near No. 76, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Daimler and a BMW 5ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Daimler (17 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
