On Monday, 5 February 2024, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Jonavos district municipality, on Chemikų street near No. 102A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW, an Alfa Romeo 159, a BMW and a Toyota Corolla. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered.
