On Friday, 9 February 2024, in the evening at 18:45, in Kaunas, on Pramonės pr. near No. 29, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Jaguar X-Type and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 62-year-old driver of the Jaguar (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (0.75‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, a strong wind was blowing, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
