On Monday, 19 February 2024, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kaunas, on Raudondvario pl., at the junction with 131, a BMW 535I hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 66-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
