On Thursday, 22 February 2024, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kaunas, on Panerių street near No. 57, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Citroen C4 Picasso. Two people were injured — a 58-year-old passenger of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient) and the 45-year-old driver of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the BMW (27 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
