On Sunday, 10 March 2024, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Vilkyčių village, on Žemaičių street, a Mazda 3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Mazda (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (1.54‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
