On Saturday, 30 March 2024, in the evening at 17:15, in Kauno district municipality, Naugardiškės village, on Garliavos plento near No. 9, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW registered in Ukraine and a Subaru. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the BMW (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.45‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
