On Wednesday, 10 April 2024, in the morning at around 6:00, in Trakų district municipality, on Ežero street near No. 6, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius and a Volvo S40. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Toyota (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.25‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
