On Tuesday, 16 April 2024, in the afternoon at 14:55, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 55.60), a BMW 520 registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
