On Thursday, 2 May 2024, in the evening at 17:56, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Skaistgiriai–Pušalotas regional road, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
