On Friday, 3 May 2024, in the afternoon at 15:19, in Vilnius, on Laisvės pr. near No. 137, a moped hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 84-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of a moped, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
