On Saturday, 4 May 2024, in the evening at around 20:00, in Joniškio district municipality, on M. Slančiausko street near No. 28A, a Skoda Fabia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Skoda (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
