On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, in the evening at around 18:00, in Trakų district municipality, Strakiškių village, on Laimės street near No. 24, a MTZ 50 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the MTZ (10 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.02‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
