On Thursday, 16 May 2024, in the evening at around 17:00, in Pasvalio district municipality, Balčiūniškio village, a Seat Alhambra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. A 58-year-old passenger of the Seat was drunk (2.31‰). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
