On Sunday, 19 May 2024, in the afternoon at 16:05, in Akmenės district municipality, on Respublikos street near No. 18, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Mitsubishi Space Star. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.70‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
