Drunk, unlicensed Audi driver in crash with two other cars in Pagrynių village
On Sunday, 26 May 2024, in the afternoon at 14:15, in Šilutės district municipality, Pagrynių village, on Šilutės street, at the junction with Ąžuolo street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi 8D, Audi A4, -S4, a Skoda Superb and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.53‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
