On Monday, 27 May 2024, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Panevėžys, on Smėlynės street, at the junction with A. Jakšto street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Iveco Daily and a Citroen C4 Picasso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Iveco (23 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
