On Saturday, 15 June 2024, in the evening at 20:10, in Pakruojo district municipality, Žeimelio town, on S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno street, at the junction with Vydžių street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 307 and a Volkswagen. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence.
