On Wednesday, 10 July 2024, in the morning at around 5:00, in Vilnius, on Salomėjos Nėries street near No. 41, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant, a Volvo S60 and an Iveco 440 registered in Netherlands. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
