On Saturday, 13 July 2024, in the afternoon at 13:45, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 48), a BMW F 650 GS registered in Germany rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
