On Monday, 15 July 2024, in the evening at 19:30, in Ukmergės district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 98B, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
