On Wednesday, 31 July 2024, in the afternoon at 16:22, in Širvintų district municipality, on Kalnalaukio street near No. 10A, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Impreza and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Subaru (35 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.31‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
