On Thursday, 8 August 2024, in the evening at 20:15, in Marijampolės municipality, on P. Armino street, at the junction with Marių street, a Mercedes-Benz CLK200 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He refused a sobriety test and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
