On Friday, 9 August 2024, in the evening at 18:37, in Šilalės district municipality, Jakaičių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 232.10), a Land Rover Range Rover Sport rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Land Rover (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She had no driving licence. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
