On Sunday, 11 August 2024, in the evening at 22:08, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 18), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6, a Renault Master registered in Poland, a Citroen C4 Picasso and a BMW 318. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
