On Saturday, 17 August 2024, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Maciuičių village, on Laisvės street, at the junction with Akmenų street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 207 registered in Finland and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Peugeot (14 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
