Drunk, unlicensed BMW 320D driver hits an obstacle on Islandijos pl., Kaunas
On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, in the evening at around 21:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32, a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 25-year-old passenger of the BMW (severely injured, treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.86‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
