On Friday, 4 October 2024, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on J. Basanavičiaus al., at the junction with J. Žemgulio street, a collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a e-scooter. Two people were injured — the 14-year-old driver of a e-scooter (treated as an outpatient) and the 36-year-old driver of a e-scooter (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Opel (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. All drivers were sober.
