On Thursday, 10 October 2024, at night at 2:18, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 102), a Scania R 340 LA4X2MNA registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the Scania (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
