On Friday, 18 October 2024, in the evening at 17:05, in Vilnius, on Jonažolių street near No. 1, a Toyota hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 85-year-old pedestrian (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Toyota (30 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
