On Wednesday, 23 October 2024, at night at 4:09, in Vilniaus district municipality, Viktariškių village, on Vilnios street, at the junction with Pramonės street, a Peugeot 406 rolled over. One person died — a 34-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (later died from the injuries, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.22‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
