On Saturday, 26 October 2024, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 30B, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius and a Mazda 6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
