On Sunday, 3 November 2024, in the afternoon at 12:11, in Vilniaus district municipality, Mickūnų town, on Užupio street near No. 31, a Renault Megane Scenic hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Renault (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.87‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
