On Thursday, 14 November 2024, in the afternoon at 13:48, in Tauragės district municipality, Taurų village, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 170), a Volvo FH registered in Latvia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Volvo (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. The driver was sober.
