On Thursday, 21 November 2024, in the afternoon at 16:05, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Pušaloto street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a Honda Jazz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
