On Friday, 30 August 2024, in the afternoon at 14:11, in Kelmės district municipality, Mažūnų village, on the Pagojis–Butkiškė–Kražiai regional road (kilometre 1.95), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (2.20‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
