On Sunday, 1 December 2024, in the afternoon at 12:10, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 8.10), a collision occurred. The collision involved a BMW 5ER Reihe, a Ford Mustang and a BMW 5ER Reihe. One person was injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Ford (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW 5ER Reihe, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober.
