On Tuesday, 10 December 2024, in the evening at around 20:00, in Vilnius, on A. Kojelavičiaus street, at the junction with Šiaurės street, a Toyota Previa hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 45-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Toyota, who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. He was drunk (0.84‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
