On Saturday, 14 December 2024, in the afternoon at 11:11, in Vilnius, on Rygos street, at the junction with Taikos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a BMW 3ER Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
