On Sunday, 5 January 2025, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 68.70), a Saab 9-3 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Saab (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
