On Monday, 6 January 2025, in the afternoon at 16:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 74.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Latvia, a Krone SD registered in Latvia, a Schmitz registered in Poland and a DAF. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the DAF (35 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
