On Monday, 6 January 2025, in the evening at 20:32, in Kupiškio district municipality, Oniūnų village, on the Kupiškis–Miliūnai–Gudgalys regional road (kilometre 10.10), an Audi A4 Avant rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.20‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was freezing rain, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
