On Saturday, 11 January 2025, in the morning at 7:30, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Antkopčio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 278), an Opel Insignia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
