On Wednesday, 15 January 2025, in the evening at 18:30, in Klaipėda, on Minijos street, at the junction with Baltijos pr., a Scania hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 59-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Scania (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties.
