On Sunday, 19 January 2025, in the morning at 8:11, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 65.33), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Subaru. Two people were injured — the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized) and the 34-year-old driver of the Subaru (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
